There's been a lot of talk about the transitive property of football on the board recently...well no one does the transitive property quite like the typical Notre Dame subway alum. It goes something like:
I am catholic (or at least pretend to be), and Notre Dame is a college with high academic standards that is also catholic, therefore I am part of the team, part of the school, part of the tradition, and that gives me the unequivocal right to blast everyone from every school "we" beat, and even though I can't name 5 players on the team now, let alone anyone that played 5 years ago, I can then also talk all the [censored] I want to about teams we don't play, or beat 60 years ago, who don't have the tradition I know nothing about...unless of course we lose, in which case I will then trash all you State schoolers for your embarassing academic standards even though I barely graduated from high school myself, and then when the team reaches 4 losses, gets ape-[censored]ed by USC, and takes the annual McNeiling in the 2nd tier bowl game (assuming "we" make one), I'll crawl back into the festering [censored]hole I emerged from until Notre Dame is 4-1 again, in which case I'll reappear and say the same [censored] over and over again.
Rinse. Lather. Repeat.

Tooo funny!! Seriously, around SB people are happy that ND is better but are not really believers.

Domers are much improved. They still have a way to go. But, with their current schedule, 11-2 is very possible. And, honestly, what's wrong with them going to a BCS game, especially if they go to the Rose Bowl and play us (Assuming USC gets to Miami)? NoD being good again is good for college football. And, honestly, I think that Willingham's performance at Washington vindicates their firing of Ty (Although not necessarily their hiring of Charlie Weis). Their only loss thus far is against a really good football team (IMO, Michigan State is for real).
Let's just sit and let them enjoy their glory. Last year was the year that we got to make fun of their incredible misfortunes. This year, we have Michigan to make fun of (And, honestly, that's more fun).
And, as NDC said, their fanbase isn't going crazy yet.

Kudos to him for being a naturally gifted athlete though.

Glory? - They have played only one team with a winning record and lost badly. They have played teams with a combined record of 13-14.
- Their SOS is ranked #53. For comparison, our maligned weak schedule is ranked #33.
- They are still barely in the top 50 in the computer power ratings, admittedly not the only source of information but a pretty good one.
Where's the "glory" in that?

Never heard of it.
