Jordan Palmer most Overhyped?
Just because he is a Palmer, he was supposed to be good. Anyone else here believe he was never as good as anyone thought. I have magizines that all said "this year is his break out season." All three years has been sub par in a conference dominated by 2 teams. If Palmer was going to be so good why did he take UTEP and not atleast a lower tier team in a Big Time conference?
Just my two cents worth, I am just glad the Palmer hype-off will be over after hearing about him now for three years.
Gets me thinking, like Wright at Cryami and Palmer at UTEP, whos gets your vote for player hate-tation? Who are you tired of hearing about that you think will tank next year or has tanked this year?

Thats my point exactly. But I watched him a couple of games and he didnt exactly look the most accurate even for a WAC conference. Heck he is what 26td for 14int this year or something like that. I maybe a little mean though because he has been sacked something like 30 times this year but he cant move in the pocket and he holds his eyes on target to long. I say he sacked himself about 50% of the time.

Did you know that Beano Cook predicted that guy would win an unprecedented three (3) Most Overrated Player Awards?
Oh, wait. You mean he predicted three (3) Heisman Trophies for Powlus? My god, what a dumbass!
As for Jordan Palmer, I don't think I know of anyone who'd have picked him to win a 50/50 raffle at a high school basketball game, let alone anything that actually matters in the landscape of college football. That's why he's at UTEP. By definition, I don't think he can be overrated - he just sucks.

Good call on the definition of overhyped. Never thought of it that way.
But I do have magazines that said this would be the year he thrust himself into the early second round to late first round draft status. I have him undrafted, or in the Second round by the Raiders, which ever is a more damning sentence.
Kyle Wright, Jordan Palmer, Reggie Ball and Drew Weatherford are some big name quaterbacks that were to be the "be all end all quarterbacks of their class" and none have produced. It doesn't really take heisman talk to be overhyped.
I am just venting so we can focus on other players that have yet to produce throughout their career but will become first rounders in 2007. If anything I am creating discussion to bide time- we still have 40 days until our last game.....
