HTM, I put myself in your position too. But then my doctor recommended adding bran to my diet and cutting down on cheese. The world has been a brighter place since.

A second-class UM is not a good thing for tOSU or the Big Ten. Hope I'm wrong about where tsun is heading, but there are some troubling signs.

[censored] that, and [censored] it hard. I could care less about Michigan football. Schadenfreude, or whatever the German word for "happiness in the misery of others". I love to see Michigan lose. Every loss is a smack in the face of some of the most arrogant, snobbish, elitist fans in all of sports. I would love to see Michigan return to what they were from 1951-1968, when they won exactly one conference title in those 18 seasons.
[censored] Michigan.

What's the expression about RR's former conference, the Big Least? A team that wins that conference is said to be no big deal considering the competition?
Those comparison are already being made as to the Big Ten.
I want Iowa to be a contender. And MSU as well as Northwestern and any other Big Ten school. And, in particular, Michigan must have a strong program for the sake of the Big Ten and tOSU. I will root for any Big Ten school facing a team from another conference. And, no, MIchigan losing to App State is not a good thing for us in anyway. Any other view fails to recognize the long term damage that will be done.
Yes, I suppose it's fun to see "the most arrogant, snobbish, elitist fans in all of sports" suffer. And I admit, having read their various posts throwing a kid and family under the bus in favor of a johnny-come-lately gimmick coach, that I wouldn't mind their words coming back to haunt them.
But one needs recognize the inherent danger in having one's rival fall to the level of medicrity.

After I read the article in the Columbus Dispatch about Boren, WOW! TSUN is going down in a spiral with no bottom in sight! This is huge. I believe the fence around the buckeye state just got a little taller.....

Meh. It's a simple fact that the CFB world is cyclical. It's gonna happen sooner or later. Oklahoma was crap for over a decade, and Texas had some lean years in the 90's, but the RRS is still one of the premier rivalries in all of sports. Same can be said for Yankees-Bosox, 'Bama-Auburn and so on. If scUM continues to slide into mediocrity, I won't enjoy whupping their ass any less. Does it feel better when they're 12-0? Yep. But I enjoy watching them lose regardless. Say what you will, but I can still manage a chuckle when I hear the words Appalachian State.

Ohio State versus M*ch*g*n trumps everything. It trumps your record. It trumps whether it's dangerous or you don't have a chance or any of those kinds of things. It trumps all things because it's the Ohio State-M*ch*g*n game. And I would like to think our guys understand that, but there's only one demonstration of understanding that and that's at 12:00 noon on Saturday.
