[censored] scUM!!!
edit: Unbeleivable!!! Now I understand its not your fault. Our own BP has censored us from stating our true feelings about scUM.

Dodd weighs in on Barwis. I do like the reality check by Threet at the end of the article.

Strength of 'new' Michigan will be speed, not brawn
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The pet wolves died last year. Mike Barwis had two of them which, to anyone who knows Michigan's strength and conditioning coach, is hardly a surprise.
"Nobody would dare mess with him," said Jason Seville, a former West Virginia wrestler who swore he once saw the 195-pound Barwis force a 300-pound Mountaineer heavyweight to -- in MMA terms -- "tap out."
"Whenever he'd give us that tongue lashing we were scared for our lives."
...
At 6-feet-6 and 225 pounds, Michigan quarterback Steven Threet will never be confused with White, but after spending one offseason with Barwis, he feels faster. That's a big part of what the coach is building. After all the plyometrics and core training, Michigan still has to build mental strength.
"We have to scare people again," Threet said. "There used to be a certain intimidation factor. You'd see Michigan run out and touch the banner and you knew you were in for a long day. Some of that has started to go away."

Some of it? Utah and Notre Dame like their chances against Michigan right now.

I don't typically get into the bashing of UM simply for the sake of bashing, but this Barwis hype has really gotten under my skin. Like this guy is going to come in and all of a sudden deliver UM to the promised land. You would think they were coming off back to back 3-9 seasons the way people are talking about the resurrection of the UM football program. This Barwis [censored] has gotten way out of control. Listen to him..."we were the strongest team in the country the last four years--best conditioned, the fastest, most balanced, best body awareness, and most explosive." We just couldn't beat a mediocre South Florida and a BAD Pitt team for all the marbles.
This guy is a product of internet hype and nothing more.
Oh, he trained the likes of Owen Schmitt and Steve Slaton!! Wow, Avon Cobourne is coming back to work out with the Wolverines. Are you [censored]ing kidding me? Avon Cobourne?
It just goes to show you that the media loves a "character." This guy used to be in MMA, had a couple of pet wolves and now the media is infatuated with him. He's "colorful."

57. The furthering of the Mike Barwis legend. While at West Virginia, he strengthened and conditioned eight NFL draft picks in just five seasons!

Exactly. And the worst part is that now that they have turned him into a commodity they will continue to sell it for as long as possible. Which means they will find evidence to support all their claims. It will be some time before this is over.
