Building on your point, late on the fourth quarter of The Game 2005 up in AA Troy kept hitting Teddy on short quick routes for first downs because the Michigan secondary was playing him deep...he made at least one difficult catch during one of the last two drives. He sure looked as good as a "possession receiver" then...

Ginn managed to toast the vaunted michigan secondary all three years of his college career. Maybe he's a little bit better receiver than you want to give him credit for. Or does that speak more for the lack of talent in your secondary the last few years - a trend that will continue this year?

They could be in some serious trouble as early as Sept 1. Appalachian State returns every skill player on offense. Their receivers are small, but they are great athletes (quick as hell), run good routes, and have good hands. Their QB was only a true freshman last year, he'll be much improved. And they only lose one anchor from their O-Line.

scUM's mantra for this year ought to be "Offense wins championships."

Yeah like Michigan's going to lose to a 1-AA school at home. That's like me saying "Oh yeah Youngstown State, they're taking out the Buckeyes. Wishful thinking, never happen". Hey a pig just went flying past your window! The teams I'm worried about throwing the ball are Oregon, maybe Penn State, Purdue, and maybe OSU. Our offense will carry us through the Oregon, PSU, and Purdue games and who knows what will happen vs. OSU?

I saw what App State did to YSU last year. App State's speed will give your secondary a lot more trouble than YSU's will ours.
