That's me in the photo...smiling before my frustration with Michigan Football reached the boiling point.

I am a lifelong University of Michigan football fan. My wife bleeds Maize and Blue. I am a former season ticket holder. I am married to an alum of U of M.

But the events of the last two weeks have caused me to take drastic action.

In light of the opening week loss to Appalachian State (that I witnessed first hand) and in light of the subsequent beating that we received from the University of Oregon - I am hereby placing my college allegiance up for auction.

I am done with Michigan. With Michael Hart offering guaranteed victories over 0-2 teams. With the level of arrogance that is obvious at the Big House.

I am open to any team that the winning bid chooses (Division I, II, III and NAIA) and all proceeds from the auction will be given to Byron Community Ministries in Byron Center, Michigan.

I just did a search to find out what time the game was on Saturday. Apparently, there is no clear cut sign that there is actually going to be what we would call a football game played in Ann Arbor (is a whore) this weekend. Oh well. Must have my weekends mixed up.

Seriously though, when I was looking, the first page only brought up the Top 25 teams' games for this weekend. It felt sweet as hell to click on the link for "All D1-A teams" to find the [censored]ing Michigan-Notre Dame start time.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the surrounding states, put your seat belts on around 3:30 on Saturday. There is going to be mass amounts of sucking going on in the state of Michigan.

Guess what question popped up for LSU coach Les Miles during the Southeastern Conference coaches' media teleconference Wednesday?

Have you considered that Michigan job, Coach?

"To be honest, not at all," Miles said. "I've given very little thought to that. ... The only thing I'm doing is preparing to play and preparing a very talented football team to take on Middle Tennessee State."

Some disgruntled Michigan fans didn't want to hear that. Miles is on the short list of critics plotting the post-Lloyd Carr era because of his resume: He's a former Wolverines player and assistant - better yet, he has LSU ranked No. 2.

But Miles points out U-M doesn't have an opening.
