Michigan blogger eager to perform autopsy on their rapidly disintegrating #6-ranked 2005 recruiting class. Damn. This is looking like it could be a spectacular fiery explosion for a class of 23 commits!

Our famous (or infamous) 2003 class of only 14 recruits and a transfer was quickly whittled to nothing, but nobody denies the contributions of Whitner, Youboty, Gonzo, Patterson, and Barton.

Considering how big UM's 2005 class was, Manningham, Taylor, Harrison, Butler and Mesko might wind up being all they have to show for it. At least 10 of the 23 are already gone, or on their way out.

I found this interesting tidbit on a scum blog. This could make things interesting later on in the season. They are the starting Rt guard and his backup.


"Any word on Alex Mitchell and Jeremy Ciulla? They were both in sweats and on crutches for the second half. Radio announcers were speculating season ending knee injuries for both.

If that is the case we are down to third string right guard Tim McAvoy to help hold down that side of the line.

This might be a HUGE problem for future games."

Michigan WR reinstated after acquittal

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan wide receiver LaTerryal Savoy has been reinstated to the team after being acquitted of an indecent exposure charge, coach Lloyd Carr said Monday.

"He's back on the team," Carr said during his weekly press conference without elaborating.

I think this is the first year they've ever been relieved not to have Indiana on the schedule.

DETROIT (AP) -- A judge issued an arrest warrant for Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham for skipping his trial on a disorderly conduct charge involving loud music, court records say.

Detroit police gave the sophomore a disorderly conduct ticket July 24 for playing loud music in a vehicle, according to 36th District Court records. He pleaded not guilty Aug. 2 and was released on personal bond, the Detroit Free Press reported on its Web site Tuesday night.

Graham did not appear for his scheduled trial on Sept. 18, and a judge issued a warrant the next day, court records say.

Nope, that was evident in last week's game. That scrambling TD was the slowest TD scamper I've seen, kudos to the blockers on that one. Mallett is significantly slower than Henne in a straight line, imo. Morelli isn't overly mobile either, but he showed some speed tucking and running around the right side one one play.

Alrighty then. It was some excellent blocking though, Hart especially. Nice pump fake by Mallett too. I'll still take Mallett over Morelli
