In the pantheon of Ron English-era Michigan back-seven players chasing down offensive skill guys from behind to prevent big TDs, yes, that's one of the better plays I've seen from a Michigan defender.

I wish Laurinaitis could miss tackles like Crable does, just so he can sprint an extra 72-yards down the field to attempt the tackle again and show off his mad wheelz.

I was really impressed with Crable's tackling ability on that play. He had Ringer wrapped up behind the line of scrimmage and wasn't able to bring him down. The only reason that Crable was able to chase Ringer down (after a 72 yard run) was that he allowed Ringer to break away from his original tackling attempt. Only in Michigan can a guy blow a tackle, give up a 72 yard gain, and get praised for a great effort.

Not true! If you refer back to the Bengals/Browns game thread, you will see that I was bitching about the announcers praising Leon Hall for doing the exact same thing on a veeeery long kickoff return. Huh....remind me again....where did Leon play his college ball?

I don't know if anyone else caught this bit, but on Cribbs' second long return (called back for penalty), the announcers showed Hall trying to "tackle" Cribbs around the Browns 35 by shoving him in the chest then praised him for hustling down to make the tackle at the Bengals 5.

Uh, gee, you dumb assholes. If he'd wrapped him up when he had the chance, he wouldn't have even had to chase him down.

Mili, I don't want to be anything but supportive here, and we seem to agree on most things, but in this case at least, I think you may not be 100% accurate in your assertion. I have really tried to understand your point of view and to be open-minded, but I just can't get there.
