I travel to Florida every year for a draft =get together with all of my college friends. I said if the Browns take Quinn, I don't how I'd root for them anymore for the same reasons.

I was begging for AD, they took Thomas, I was ok but not happy. I could at least breath easy knowing we didn't use a top 3 pick on BQ. They then announce the trade and everyone looks at me and laughs. Someone said "room for 1 more on the Buccanneers bandwagon." I obviosuly still root for Cleveland, but they sure as hell have made it difficult with their draft picks.

It's not as east as seperating college from the NFL. The allegiances never go away, if you're a legit college fan.

I've tried caring about the Buccanneers while I've been down here. I try to convince myself that it's just a different shade of scarlet and gray. Joey Galloway wearing their colors makes it easier.

I've even been to a couple of games. In fact, in 2003, I was at the home opener for the defending champions of both the NCAA and the NFL. The Buckeyes dismantling of Washington was awesome. The wretched egg the Bucs laid against Charlotte was so bad that it soured me on even trying to root for them for a couple of years.

And no, none of this has anything to do with S. Crable. whatever

Shawn Crable is off to a flying start with the New England Patriots.

The former Massillon Tiger, a rookie third-round draft pick, intercepted a Kyle Boller pass in the second quarter of Thursday's 16-15 loss to Baltimore.

Oddly, Crable did not have an interception in his 47-game college career at Michigan. His last interception came when he was a Massillon senior.

Crable got a long playing shift in his NFL debut. In the fourth quarter, he was in on a 3-yard sack of Ravens rookie Joe Flacco.

"Crable showed up in a couple different areas, on special teams and against the run," Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick said. "He rushed it, got an interception and Jerod [Mayo] the same thing."

Mayo, a rookie first-round pick, and Crable were drafted to inject youth and athleticism into an old linebacking corps.

"They really took the plays that we taught them and they practiced them and translated them over onto the field," Belichick said. "I'm encouraged and glad they had the opportunity to play as much as they did."

Crable said the tempo was "a lot different" than in camp practices.
