This guy is a stud, but I wouldn't count on it for OSU. Look for him to stay in Florida with one of the big 3.

he got a commitment from a 4 star Florida QB Josh Portis.
Josh Portis is from California and brother of former Cane Clinton. He wants enroll early for winter semester and I think Kansas State is his numer one now. I don't think there's much of a chance that he ends up in Gainesville.

I think with Meyer landing in Florida, that probably makes them the frontrunner early on. This kid seems to fit the mold of a Meyer QB, a good passer, and a good runner. But then again, he fits the mold of any head coach's qb if he throws for over 300 yards in the first quarter.

Offensive player of the year

Quote:
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: No record safe in the Tebow Show

Junior is compiling some outrageous numbers at Nease, with more to come.

Then the head coach of the Lakeshore Renegades, Hess decided to put 11-year-old Tim Tebow under center for the first time.

The leadership skills required for the position suited the youngster. The offense, with current Lee High standout Craig James handling the rushing load behind Tebow, led the youth squad to the doorstep of a national championship berth. Tales of Tebow's relative exploits at that level make more heads shake than even those of the modern-day Tebow, who claimed 2004 Times-Union All-First Coast Offensive Player of the Year honors.

"Once we got his mechanics down, I would make him put one knee on the ground and see what he could do from there," said Hess, now an assistant coach at Mandarin High. "And the first time he tried it he throws a spiral 35 yards in the air. Less than a year later, he was throwing 45 yards doing the same thing."

Hess believed his eyes, yet knew he would never see another 11-year-old with the same gift.

And still today, Tebow shows a similar trend of vast improvement over short periods. As a 6-foot-2, 210-pound 10th grader last year, he threw for more than 2,000 yards in only nine games, around 300 of which came on a leg fracture that Tebow refused to afford a mid-game X-ray. The fracture was discovered a day later, after Tebow had finished a painfully gutsy effort to beat Menendez.

For this year's encore of the Tim Tebow Show, he grew an inch, added 10 pounds, and roughly doubled his yardage to 4,286, a state record. He rushed for nearly 1,300 yards, grabbing another state record with 5,572 total yards.

Much the way Fletcher running back Ciatrick Fason once positioned the prep record books for his signature by posting big statistics early in his career, Tebow's curve suggests no state passing record could be safe from his 2005 finale. Barring injury, the Nease junior's third and final season could bury his own records beyond the reach of future area quarterbacks for decades.

The Tebow file
School: Nease

Class: Junior.

Size: 6-3, 220 pounds.

Resume: Broke state records this season for total yardage (5,572), and passing yardage (4,286). ... With a year of eligibility remaining, Tebow is already the area's all-time leading passer with 6,480 yards. ... Also rushed for 1,286 yards and led the Panthers to the deepest playoff run (third round) in school history.

He had crazy stats this year, 4304 yards passing with 46 TDs and 1272 yards rushing along with 25 TDs on the ground!

Going to be attending elite 11 QB camp and has definite interst in OSU. He was up here for the PSU game and Coach Tressel was at his school two weeks ago.
