Good to see some alternative views here. Seems most of the pundits are writing off UM & LSU. Interesting that USA today posts OU's strength of schedule at 11th - tougher than OSU's. Can't figure that one out. I do agree that OU should not be in the big game. USC should be. It's likely they'll lose either way, so the controversy goes out the window.

Classof76, actually Ohio State's BCS SOS is #7. That IS higher/tougher than OU's #11.
BCS Team's SOS:
#7 Ohio State
#10 Kansas State
#11 Oklahoma
#13 Miami FL
#14 Michigan
#15 FSU
#29 LSU
#37 Southern California

This is one game I hope Michigan wins. When will the media learn to wait until the games are over before opening their big mouths. All you here about is a split National Championship this year as if USC just needs to show up to beat Michigan. Didn't they learn anything by from their Oklahoma unbeatable talk.
My take on Oklahoma not winning their conference is that they lost in the conference Championship Game. USC lost a regular conference game.

I think scUM will beat USC as well. Maybe it's because I only saw them play twice (Cal & Ore. St.) and I didn't see this "dominating" team that all the media morons claim they are. I also think that the human polls got it wrong, not the BCS. I would've had LSU at #1, followed by OU, and then USC. So, I don't feel any empathy for USC. The only decent win they had all year was over a team that lost to ND.

BTW, I'm fairly certain that this is the first year EVER that no major teams will have finished undefeated before the Bowls are to be played.

Something I predicted before this season (though I have no way to prove it..hehe). --Saw31 pats himself on back--

I guess at this point I have no sympathy for USC, don't you guys know that they are in on every OSU recruit, but all recruits are silent verbals???????? oke:

Remember empathy and sympathy are not the same thing.
Empathy means you know how they feel, which I think Buckeye fans do after the first BCS title game that we got punked on.
Sympathy means that you feel sorry for them. Believe me I don't....

While my instincts tell me USC got screwed in this particular situation, I have also usually believed that an evaluation of a team has to consider the whole season, not just the end of it. Thus, I can't complain too much theory wise. OK was exceptional until KSU.
Doesn't matter though. I will happily root for scUM to kick their butts, as I will happily root for LSU to stomp OK. I'm not quite so confident that we are going to beat KSU so easily as some think. Depends on which game they (and we) bring.
