Slickman brings up a good point. I too am almost to the point where I do not want him in this class, he seems very "me" oriented and would fit in very well in LA.

I probably have thought similar to what WW is talking about but would never say it, I'm glad he did. That said, the comments Freddy boy made yesterday pushed me over the edge to the point I'd rather he go to USC or Miami. I understand these guys are looking out for themselves. I understand a lot of these kids want to go to the place that will give them the best chance to make it to the next level. I understand that place isn't always Ohio State in their eyes and I realize they make their decisions on their own time schedule. He had no right to badmouth the receivers at Ohio State. Sounds like a kid perfectly suited to play for the U or USC.

Fred Davis
LAST NIGHT ON THE 6 OCLOCK NEWS OUT OF TOLEDO THAT RAN A COVER ON FRED AND SAID ONLY THAT HE HAD CHANGED HIS NEWS CONF. TO A LATER DATE. THIS KID IS A GOOD PLAYER BUT THE KEY IS THAT HE IS A KID AND IF HE IS A BUCKEYE OR HE IS NOT IS ONLY UP TO HIM. HE IS GETTING ALOT OF PRESS AND YOU SAW WHAT PRESS DOES TO A NINETEEN YEAR OLD AND HIS DESICION MAKING PROCESS. IT WOULD BE NICE TO LAND HIM BUT IF NOT WE STILL HAVE A STABLE OF RECIEVERS TO FALL ON TO.

This is D'Andrea II. I think the biggest reason folks are so focused on Davis is because he is so highly rated nationally (#3 WR in Rivals100 I think), and that it would seem to be a major "recruiting coup" if someone other than Ohio State got him. Think of the chest-thumping by USC or Miami fans if the Trojans or Hurricanes were able to "steal" the top-rated WR out of Ohio right from under the Buckeyes' noses, not to mention the scrutiny by the mass media as to why we couldn't pull in our own state's best receiver.

With or without Davis we are going to be fine at WR. What we really need is Hart and Mitchum to open up some holes.

Hey Guys, After some problems with getting access to this site I am relieved to be able to post on here and get away from bucknuts till after the Davis storm blows over. I to believe that we are good at WR with or without another commit for this class. Hart and Mitchum are priority over Davis. Also the kid from NJ Jarrett appears interested and may be coming to town so who knows. slickman, I was in the endzone about 13 rows up at that Purdue game and my god that catch was amazing. The PU band quit beating their big drum after that one! That said, I still would love to see FD in a #6 scarlet and gray jersey for the next three years.

Nice!
And BTW.... isn't there a kid by the name of Manningham coming out of HS next year? He's going to have these depth concerns like FD brought... something to the effect... "Jenkins is gone... so I think I can play right there" kinda thing... my opinion is that FD can take it or leave it... my gut tells me that OSU will have an extremely prolific offense over the course of the next couple years.

Is it worth it to lose a person and football player like Miles Williams in order to gain a person and football player like Fred Davis?
