Freshman wide receiver Fred Davis was moved to tight end, and Carroll said he expected that Davis will stay there after a strong showing that included a 45-yard touchdown catch. ...
|
It turns out that Fred was Petey's #1 guy all along.... #1 tight end, that is! So Fred, you jet off in the middle of the night because you want to catch the ball instead of block? I hear there's still a spot for you at safety. lmao
Didn't he also move Eugene Germany to TE as soon as he arrived? Maybe Fred was really Pete's #2 tight end.
note to USC posters: don't take this thread too seriously. but the irony of it all is pretty damn funny.

I gotta say, this is pretty freakin' hilareous. I hope the USC fans who may check this board realize we're laughing at FD, not USC.

How many balls did USC's TEs catch last year-probably fewer than Hartsock. This is beautiful. I wonder what, if anything, Fred's comments on the matter will be......................

Maybe he just didn't want to block the little DBs because he thought that would be unfair to the DBs.
But now he will get to block the big old DL, That will be alot better for him.
good thing he went out to USC early to learn the WR position.

Actually Davis lines up as a TE on very few plays...the only reasn is because of the shortage of TE's due to injury....They think he could be a lot better than Winslow was....He caught a 40 yard TD in the scrimmage yesterday, while at TE....

He's got to be a legit blocker before he will be the weapon Winslow was... Not saying Winslow was a great blocker.. but he worked at it... He won't be catching anything if he's throwing look out blocks.
Edit: I just got a sick feeling in my stomach after I posted that... Then I looked back and realized that I had tacitly complimented the Soljah of Fortune... ICK.
I apologize to everyone who had to read that.
