I wonder what Tiller means about not going in "that building" again. Roundtree's high school?

So for him to boycott & slam the school, does that mean they were involved in dismissing the reality of Roundtree looking around? Or am I reaching?

maybe he meant the [censored]-house on the corner of stadium and main...
tiller's last campaign against tsun is at home.

It cannot be said enough: We're lucky to have a class guy like Jim Tressel.

Worth linking this article which praises Stewart's handling of the first disciplinary issue during his tenure as WVU coach. But, the reason for the link is due to this:
Quote:
If Rodriguez’s actions in his defection to Michigan surprised you, chances are you weren’t around to see the way he handled Adam “Pacman” Jones and Chris Henry.
Jones pleaded guilty as a sophomore in 2003 to a misdemeanor battery charge that grew out of a bar fight on the night his first camp broke, admitting to hitting a WVU student in the face with a pool cue. The charge originally was a felony, but was reduced to a misdemeanor in a plea bargain.
Jones wound up under home arrest and received a year’s probation from the court, but was never suspended by Rodriguez.
Henry was disciplined three times during his final season, 2004, missing a game and a half. Among his indiscretions was an obscene gesture at Rutgers fans.
Both players said thank you to Rodriguez for not canning them by leaving a year early for the NFL, where they became the poster children for out-of-control players, while most people felt their lack of character and discipline, along with a me-first attitude, destroyed the team.
|
I could swear I remember a visiting poster suggesting that Jones and Henry's problems were all post Morgantown

If not, will the Wolverines finish in the top 25 and continue the longest streak of bowl games and winning seasons?

Rodriguez wishes he could have taken quarterback Pat White and tailback Noel Devine with him to Ann Arbor, but maybe your appraisal is correct and he has more talent at Michigan than at West Virginia.
Cont'd....

1969 Team Meets New Staff, Addresses Current Squad
Quote:
As head football coach Rich Rodriguez starts to embrace the Michigan tradition, he is finding that the former Wolverine football players have been quick to embrace the new coach. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, Rodriguez invited the 1969 football team -- the first team coached by Bo Schembechler -- to address his first team at Michigan.
Dana Coin, a player on the 1969 team, brought the idea to Rodriguez, and the new coach was quick to bring the idea to fruition. The 1969 team also saw an enormous amount of change as Schembechler took over for long-time coach and Michigan player Bump Elliott.
Coin along with 30 players, including Dan Dierdorf, Reggie McKenzie, Billy Taylor, Paul Seymour, Jim Brandstatter, Don Moorhead and others, came to Ann Arbor to meet the new coaches and talk to the 2008 team about Michigan football and change. It was their mantra in 1969 that "Those who stay will be champions." On Tuesday, the 1969 team gave both the new coaches and the players a taste of that portion of the Michigan tradition.

Rich Rodriguez talks to the 1969 team

I think we should bring in the 1969 team as well. Get them to talk to the new team about how everything went, and use it to motivate the players before THE GAME.
It seems like Rich Rodriguez is embracing the scUM tradition.

It is good to see that rr is open and willing to embrace the UM tradition. The game of college football better when scUM is formidable. And it is so much fun to beat TTUN when it's for all the marbles.
I wonder how the football Alums will react however to seeing their new head coach crying on the sidelines after a loss, as I hope he'll be doing often near the end of future Novembers
