There's no reason to recruit Trotwood. They have been producing some good raw talent lately, but it's thug city. When I lived in Dayton, it was the part of town you never went to. I hear it's 1,000 times worse now.

This seems rather harsh and judgmental to me. Based on this type of thinking, I would think that certain areas in Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Warren, Toledo, and Cincinnati should also be avoided in the recruiting process. It seems like quite a portion of Ohio's talent pool would be eliminated.

I'm content with Tressel and the staff reviewing each potential recruit as an individual, factoring character into their evaluations.

I believe Mader Dei high school is in the middle of Santa Ana, a really crappy neighborhood with a lot of gang trouble around there. No one should ever recruit there, because kids from Santa Ana could have gang affiliations, nevermind the fact that the last three quarterbacks have gone onto the pros with two of them winning heismans.

Exactly, Glenville isn't in the nicest neighborhood in the world and according to the ODE most of it's students are economically underprivaledged. Canton City SD was one of the worst schools in the state in graduation rates till recently. But I'll tell you what I've been pretty happy with the Buckeye's that have come from those cities and the other ones BB73 Mentioned.
I understand the idea of "thug" mentality, but sometimes that has more to do, in college, with the coach allowing it. RR had absolutely no problem with that it always seemed at WVU. We've all seen that wonderful record

Someone needs to go visit Glenville HS.

It's a trick question. It didn't give an age for retirement nor did it say the retirement had to be his choice.

Glenville may be in a bad neighborhood, but they have a great coaching staff, and the track record of recruits has been phenomenal. I may have been a little harsh in my statement, but unless there is a can't miss recruit to specifically go after, I don't see T-M as worth the effort. The coaching staff obviously leans towards UM, so it's an uphill battle to begin with. There are no Trotwood players on this year's roster, and I can't recall any significant players from there (I'm sure there have been some, but how long ago?). I say let DickRod and Zook have all the T-M players they want. They'll think they're stealing recruits from under our noses, and I'm sure some will turn out to be decent players, but in the long run, we will be better off.
