I say Kevin White and Charlie Weis. Kevin White as he hides his head in shame and Charlie Weis for the reasons stated thus far.

Out of curiousity, I want to know what was the average ranking for ND's last five recruiting classes if we go strickly by Tom Lemming's rankings.... I bet those number didnt make Ty look too shabby.

Those are difficult to nail down. I know that the 2006 class (headlined by Aldridge, Reuland and Young) was Scout rated #5, Lemming rated #3 nationally. The 2007 class Scout had as a #11 in nation - headlined by Clausen. 2005 and 2004 were 27th and 30th by Scout. It is likely that Lemming's rankings will be in that neighborhood for those two classes. 2003 of course was a #5 ranked clas by Scout, very doubtful that Lemming ranked that low, except in retrospect - based on any departures.
So you have (per Scout) 2 #5, one #11 a 30th and 27th ranked smaller pair of classes. If Lemming's ranking mirror those of Scout with a positive delta in up years, then his ranking should be near #15 - #16 over that 5-year period.

Which actually doesn't sound that hot.

Now, what was OSU's class ranking through that period - the many 2003 departures notwithstanding? Answer between 15 and 16 rank per year - jsut like ND.

Difference being that the players that did stay have been developed.
