Carr holds off on whether Hart's healthy enough to play
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Mike Hart's teammates expect him to play this week.
Michigan defensive end Tim Jamison said Hart, who appeared to hurt his right ankle in the first half Saturday against Purdue, would be on the field for the Wolverines (No. 25 BCS, No. 24 AP) when they play Saturday night at Illinois.
Offensive tackle Jake Long agreed.
"There's no doubt in my mind he'll play," Long said Monday.

Well, we're gonna find out on Saturday if Ron Zook has a copy of the M*ch*g*n - Syracuse game from 1998 on VHS. If he does, he should be able to beat them just like Ohio State, App State and Oregon have.
Hart will leave the game at least once because of injuries, but he's still gonna end up with 150 yards on 35+ carries. I don't think it'll be enough though.

Ohio State versus M*ch*g*n trumps everything. It trumps your record. It trumps whether it's dangerous or you don't have a chance or any of those kinds of things. It trumps all things because it's the Ohio State-M*ch*g*n game. And I would like to think our guys understand that, but there's only one demonstration of understanding that and that's at 12:00 noon on Saturday.

Definitely feeling a lot more confident after Illinois' putrid showing at Iowa and Michigan's demolition of Purdue. Purdue's scary spread was supposed to slice and dice the Michigan defense, wasn't it? They scored one touchdown after a five-yard drive following a Henne fumble and two more against the scrubs. I like Michigan in this one. (Duh.) I'm starting to see a nice little chip on the maize-and-blue shoulders - getting the feeling that they've been circling the wagons and working on that us-against-the-world mentality. The nice thing about that us-against-the-world motivation is that road games only serve to fuel the fire. So if I'm right about that, the fact that Illinois tends to be tough at home won't matter.
