Nice job by Ryan and BC at the end of that game, but VT gave it away. That was a prevent (you from winning) defense that only the Cleveland Browns could be proud of. Seriously, I don't want to hear ESPN say a thing about the "stout" Bud Foster-Frank Beamer defenses after a performance like that. Give credit to BC for seizing the opportunity though, even though it was gift-wrapped for them.
What does it say about this year's Heisman field when somebody can solidify their status as the frontrunner with a 25-52 performance?
I'm kinda happy with the way this turned out though. Keep on giving those SEC schools something to bitch about. LSU fans are certainly gonna complain about being ranked behind a team who beat a common opponent by some 30 fewer points than they did - but hey, at least Boston College didn't go out an lose a game to a freakin' BASKETBALL SCHOOL like LSU did.

It trumps all things because it's the Ohio State-M*ch*g*n game. And I would like to think our guys understand that, but there's only one demonstration of understanding that and that's at 12:00 noon on Saturday.

Could've been a factor, but it seemed the VT defense (especially the secondary) just gave up. The D Line kept getting pressure on Ryan, so he'd scramble and eventually find an open receiver. If VT's secondary would've kept up the pressure, BC wouldn't of gotten on the scoreboard. Oh well.

Went from rushing 4+1 in a man cover scheme to rushing 3 and dropping into zones.

I don't recall a single person thinking we'd "kill" Florida. We also will most certainly not be taking our title game opponent lightly like we did this past January...

Honestly, I think when they got to the two-minute and Ryan was calling the plays made the difference. He seemed uncomfortable with the previously called plays, or that could have been the enormous choke job that VT displayed when it came down to it.
