NoD's loss may be the best thing that could happen to that program, now the alumni will be doing everything they can to get out of that contract.

beside all those other colleges getting abused my biggest thing that makes me sick are at OSU home games with the announcers that do it and really are just stupid. They couldn't get a job doing high school games because, they just suck. They always announce the other teams players that did some great play but, tend to forget to name that buckeye on that great tackle, catch, run, td,,,,,,,, but, they seem to name that OSU lineman who got the holding call or false start . LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB LOSERS. Every buckeye player should be named when hes does something great at a HOME GAME

Sounds like a good thread title on a Domer board. They could point to this almost victory against Navy as proof of the improvement the team has made this year and how next year will be, the extremely worn out, "Return to Glory".
Even though the Domers truly suck, if I were to vote in this poll, I would vote for Navy getting over on NoD/NoO/NoHope. Navy gave them their 5th loss at home this year (isn't that the first time in Domer history?) and Navy ended the longest futility streak in D-IA. Lard Charlie just keeps on setting records this year making this one of the greatest years in college football.

Charlie Weis's best games are almost won. He's got that huge contract for almost beating USC, now he can sell this as the team almost kept the streak alive.

Judging by the results, good call
Tough one. I went with ND & Navy. Even though the line was just 3.5, I really thought ND would pull this one out. And, they should have, if they had a coach. 9-0 Kansas dropping 70 points on Uncle Rico and the Blackshirts is pretty damn surprising though.. the fact that they are 9-0 is unreal!

You knew Nebraska was going to get beat soundly, and you knew Kansas would score at least forty something on them... How about the fact that they scored 39 and still got beat by 37... so 76 wasn't much of a shock.
the Cowpokes are the only team in Michigan State's class when it comes to choke jobs.
BC, unfortunately, ain't that good (I would have loved to have the Bucks meet them in the NC game).
So that left Notre Dame, at home, favored, with far better athletes, and a coach with Super Bowl rings, who draws down 7 figures a year and is a self proclaimed strategic genius.
WOW!

Matt Ryan didn't fail to outplay Drew Weatherford. They don't play against each other. Matt Ryan didn't do as well against Florida State's defense as Drew Weatherford did against Boston College's defense.
