Fresno State is, IMO, the unluckiest team in college football I can recall.

Consider:

That high-scoring game against the then-godlike Trojans

The Triple-overtime loss to Texas A&M

Failing to put their money where their mouth was against Boise State

Honestly,

I don't think Fresno State has still recovered from what Reggie Bush did to the Bulldogs defense a few years ago.

Fresno tried, but failed.

It seems that Fresno State ALWAYS comes up just a bit short against the big boys.
