Actually, it's the "Mike Stoops looks good for one day" theory.
He has a tendency to look like a world-beater one game, and look like crap the next.

At least this would increase the likelihood of the Kansas Cinderella story possibly coming true.
Also,
I just dread the thought of ANOTHER USC Rose Bowl: I know if Oregon loses, the Trojans will somehow win the conference again.
