Certain UC fans are a bit worried about this developement. You know that Brian Kelly's name will be thrown into the hat. No idea if he will be interested with all of the building in the football facilities. That would suck for UC if it happened.

Kelly's name will be in every hat that comes along. UC fans are UC fans and that is just part of what comes with being a UC fan - or pretty much a fan of any Big East team.

one name that might mortify all Florida fans - Steve Spurrier.

He grew up only a short distance away (Johnston City) and that would absolutely make me laugh.

Another name that could be thrown out there is Mike Singletary if he doesn't stay in the NFL.....

1. obviously the record.
2. the lack of offense compounded by the fact that Cutcliffe's offense is thriving at Duke, (that is right Duke football)
3. recruiting has steadily gone down hill and a lot of the bigger name recruits they have signed just haven't worked out, see Crompton.

The fans would accept Cutcliffe back with open arms.

On the bright side of UT's abissmal season, I can wear my Buckeye gear at the law school without catching too much [censored]. We might be 0-9 vs the SEC in bowls, but we aren't 3-6 this year.

Cutcliffe addresses Tennessee talk: 'I'm at Duke, staying at Duke'

DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke coach David Cutcliffe quashed any speculation about him returning to Tennessee to replace his good friend and former boss, Phillip Fulmer.

"I'm at Duke, staying at Duke," Cutcliffe said Tuesday.

Cutcliffe twice served on Tennessee's staff and spent eight years as the Volunteers' offensive coordinator. He came to Duke last December after a two-year stint in Knoxville and has called Fulmer "the best football coach I've ever been associated with."

Cutcliffe said he was being proactive because he spoke to recruits who said other coaches had told them that he was headed to the Volunteers.

So much for Cutcliffe staying at Duke. He said he is not interested in going back to Tennessee and we all know what that means
