Just started watching this game well into the first quarter with BC up 7-0.
Then they do some panning around the stadium in Jacksonville, and I'm forced to ask.
What if they held an ACC Championship game and nobody came?
True, the main stands are fairly well populated - but neither end-zone is anywhere near sold out.
Oh, yes VT doesn't look too damned sharp, -3 yards rushing, 18 yards through the air, off 3 drives, the 2nd of which ended in a fumble.. by Taylor who was replaced by Glennon for a 3 and out on the next drive.

Love that 2 quarterback system.
Bad luck for positioning the game I think. Boston is a long way from florida and VT wasnt guaranteed a spot until a week ago. From what I hear tickets were being scalped for $20 or so.

The game has ALWAYS been in Jacksonville since it's inception. As for the lack of time, that is the risk you run with a Conference Championship.
Florida is one 2 or 3 hour plane ride away for everybody involved. The capacity of AllTel is far less than the combined stadia for the two schools playing today.
Relatively low prices for scalped tickets are actually enormously common BTW for these type of events - the difference being that other fanbases actually have enough people who care to fill the available extra seats.

No, because the underlying issue isn't the stadium size, but rather the lack of deep and abiding interest from the respective team's fanbases.
