Hawaii did try to schedule a bunch of BCS teams (Michigan ) but they couldn't get any of the games.

When Hawaii was down 21-0 in the first quarter, I told all my Hawaiian buddies who were watching the game with me that UH would come back to win...even the most hard-core of them looked at me like I was on crack. Looks like I guessed right.
Had the game been in Seattle, UW would've won by 10+ points. But the flight distance and time change is tough on visitors here...

That crazy home field atmosphere factors in there too. I've never seen a continuous party going on like that at any other stadium, from the tribal drums to the streamers, etc.
