2008 Heisman Trophy Discussion
Here's CFN's early take on next year's favorites. They have Beanie Wells at #6 and Todd Boeckman at #16.

Even thought the polish isn't even dry on this year's Heisman, it's already time to dive into next year's race.
Obviously the landscape quickly changes depending on who comes back and who jumps early to the NFL, but this should be another great race with most of this year's stars certain to return. Of course, it all might be over if No. 5 down in Arkansas decides to pass up tens of millions of dollars for his senior year.
Sports information departments, get ready to hype up these playmakers. Remember, the Heisman almost always goes to a skill player on a big-time team, so to keep this in the land of the real, there aren't any defensive players here.

If Beanie is healthy he jumps to number one following a big game against USC, and then seals the Bronze statue with a huge day against Michigan.
That's my personal call for next year.
I don't think Tebow will repeat, either. His running oppurtunities will be decreased because of incoming Emmanuel Moody, and his passing stats alone won't get it.

Prediction Time An OSU Tailback will ensure that an OSU Tailback remains the only two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy

No Golden Emu in the top-25? That list is a joke.

I think if Beanie has a big game in a victory in the NC game, he has to be near or at the top of the list for next year...

I think it would be more like Tebow may not be able to stay healthy another whole year running like that.

Thoughts: - If Beanie puts up 150+ yards in the MNC game he'll be in the top 3
- Interesting to see three Big10 RB's in the top 10... and none of them are from Michigan
- I particularly like the anointing of [insert next USC QB here] in the top 20.
