UCLA announced Monday that it has fired football coach Karl Dorrell.
"Karl has represented this program with dignity and class. He is a true Bruin and I respect what he has accomplished in his five years as our head coach, particularly off the field," UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said. "But, at the end of the day, the focus has to be on results and I felt that a change was in the best interest for the future of our program."
Dorrell's buyout will pay him just over $2 million.

While it is clear that 6-6 is 0.500, I really think UCLA has to ask what it really takes to win when 'SC is your neighbor.
Prioritization - that is the key.
Incriminating pictures of Pete Carroll in compromising positions is my first recommendation for righting their ship. After that piece of dirty business is out of the way, then you look for the best head coach available.
