1460 is reporting that the award will still be called The Butkus, but that Dick Butkus is taking over the awarding of it. The award will henceforth be presented in Chicago. Or at least so says Bruce Hooley on 1460. I seriously doubt that this is the last word on the subject.

Precisely my point, DBB. If he's giving it out from now on, how is the winner going to be selected? You know that the DAC is going to want to keep presenting an award themselves, so they're not about to run the nomination and selection process for him just so he can award it himself 1000 miles away.
