So let me get this straight - it's ALABAMA STATE that is the worst offender? And of course it's the one that the NCAA is going to crack down on.
I think it's pretty easy to see that larger more prominent sports universities (USC, Ohio State, Texas, etc.) are breaking the exact same, if not more, number of rules.

I'm sorry, bro, but a comment like that on a Buckeye board just can't be allowed to slide.
I taught at Ohio State. In my experience, the sports administration people closely monitored the athletes (in all sports) in your course. You received detailed forms regularly during the quarter asking if the student was attending class, about their test scores. Faculty were constantly reminded about the obligations of faculty and boosters in relation to NCAA rules, including fair and transparent grading and course administration and no extra tuition not offered to all students. There were many steps taken to ensure that NCAA rules were complied with, in the letter and spirit of those regulations.
There is no evidence to suggest that Ohio State is guilty of any violations and the entire program has been under close scrutiny of two NCAA investigations during the Clarett affair. I can't speak for the other programs you mention, but that is what I experienced as well. I think your post does a great disservice to the faculty and sports administration at Ohio State who work so hard to ensure that we don't have those problems.
Sorry about the rubies, but that comment is way out of line.

A comment like his shouldn't be allowed to slide anywhere, without evidence.

In other words, the NCAA can't force institutions to fire people...
