If UF hadn't played OSU last year, and their last two b10 matchups were UM 07 & The 05 Iowa Fix, would you think Joe Paterno had any business running his mouth about how Florida would do in the B10? That's the absurdity of this thing.
You can complain about the inconsistency of complaining while 'latching' in return, but it doesn't change the absurdity of the original whiner that often graces Nutriarch's sig.

Tommy Ears is a big mouth asshat????
I thought we were beyond that as a given?

If a team hasn't played in those conditions because of geography, then the team familiar would have an advantage. See the Miami or Tampa having to play in Lambeau in 0 degrees. Who would you pick? So the issue is not who might be the better team, but who is the better cold weather team?
|
Kind of like local (MAJOR) bowl games. But that Motor City Bowl really comes in handy.

Feel free to say the better cold weather team is better, but I think there is an argument that that asking southern teams to play in the snow is merely asking for an edge. I, mean, if you are better in the snow then you should be better in the desert in a Dome.
|
In the snow they don't serve in and out.
Football is a tough man's game. To avoid poor weather and rarely play away from home in the postseason (or a decade including regular season) goes against the essence of football. Snow, mud, cold, heat, rain does not cheapen football. It enriches the variety and folklore of the game.
I loathe the Patriots, but am glad the NFL doesn't wuss/sell out and hold games where fans are comfy. Their rivalry with the Colts would be a lot cheaper playing everything in Domes and Warm Weather climates.

What - Miami's winning all their MNCs in the Orange Bowl or somethin'?
I agree that it is a disadvantage to y'all, see prior threads.

Bringing the southern north isn't about wins for my team. It's about force-feeding them real football weather. Weather justice if you will
