I assume that Auburn - with their four losses including one to South Florida - is one of those five?
Truth is that
OSU has given the SEC lots of ammunition. We would be making similar arguments if the Big Ten had beaten the SEC champ going away the past two season.
But most of the games used for the argument are inter-conference games. The Big Ten lost 14 games outside the conference last season - the SEC 11. Does that make a statement? The SEC East champ beat the 4th place team in the Big Ten by 4. Florida lost to the Big Ten's 3rd place team.
All that said, there is an SEC thread around here someplace and this one should probably be merged there.
