Toughest Stadiums - another list
Link
"During the October 6, 2007 game against the University of Florida, CBS recorded 129.8 decibels"
Folks, I went to that game, and I had temporary hearing loss for a few hours, a ringing in my ears that lasted until I finally went to sleep that night.
How Loud Is Too Loud?
How loud is too loud? 150
Firecracker 120
Ambulance siren 110
Chain saw, Rock concert 105
Personal stereo system at maximum level 100

Protect Your Ears.
110 Decibels
Regular exposure of more than 1 minute risks permanent hearing loss.

Yeah. Prolly. All I know is that so many times it was so damn loud that you could not hear the person next to you trying to shout something at you. You only got it if you could read lips. To me, that is loud. My ears hurt, were continuously ringing, and I had temporary partial hearing loss.
Now, it does not get that way all of the time, but when it does, it is brutal. I can only imagine what it is like on the field trying to make an audible.
On the FSU board most of the Noles admitted that the Swamp was the loudest that they had ever seen. One Nole went to The Game and said that your stadium was the loudest that he had heard. Congrats for that. I only know that the Swamp and Death Valley are ridiculous venues for loudness. I hope to visit y'all in person, see the "i" being dotted and experience your place live. Sounds awesome.

Same thing happened to me in '95 during the ND game. I was in C-deck.

Damn, I remember the '03 NC State game when Allen stopped McClendon on the goal line at the end of the game... couldn't hear anything.
