Ohio University football player Mike Eynon correctly picked five of six numbers in the Ohio State Mega-Millions draw, giving him winnings of $250,000. Eynon had all five of the base number right, but missed the mega ball number which would have won him $34 million.
Still, the offensive lineman was ecstatic to find he would be awarded $172,500 after taxes. Eynon is in school learning to become a certified public accountant, and he says he'll be able to pay off school expenses and relieve his debt with the money.
The NCAA had to be contacted, to make sure no rules violations occurred. The governing body of college student athletics verified that the lottery was considered a game of chance, and therefore no problem for Eynon or the school would come from his good luck.
The winning numbers were 9, 21, 36, 38, and 55; the mega number Eynon missed was 13.
Taking it all in stride, Eynon was suited up and ready for practice with the rest of the football team. He noted, "Ya? know, why should I get a day off for winning the lottery? It?s just another day.?

I've been contacted by their authorities on several occasions (with reliance upon God and sincere trust in my confidence) because of my good name. They apparently had it on good authority that I am a God-fearing family man.
So I'm happy for Mr. Eynon. I will take the solicitations of one Mr. ABDul BabaTUnde, Her Majesties Chartered Accountancy Chief, much more seriously in the future.
