Alabama's defense is now amazing? When did his happen? I know they ranked 31st in total defense last year, but this team also lost to Louisiana-Monroe. I'm not buying Alabama's defense over Clemson's epic ineptitude. If Tommy Bowden isn't fired by next weekend, something is wrong.

Yea,what am I thinking giving credit to a team that stopped what is supposed to be a pretty good offense..It HAS to be the coaches fault entirely. I know he was out there running the football at times. I'm sure if OSU played clemson yesterday and embarrassed them,then you'd feel the same way..

Every year some team is massively overrated in pre season polls and gets exposed quickly. The team that does the exposing then benefits from the human nature of pollsters not wanting to admit they were wrong about overrating the first team by elevating the second team to top 10 status.
The real issue is having pre-season polls based on nothing but pure conjecture and then 13-14 weeks of pollsters trying to defend their choices regardless of the realities.
Want to have a more legit NC without changing the current BCS system? Don't have the first polls until after week 4.

It was sickening...why in the world would your first carry of the season go to a true freshman RB when you have two returning stud RBs? That fumble was the death of Clemson...
