BuckeyeWriter could go either way
Question Youngstown State

Does anybody know what Tressel's tendencies were at YSU, in terms of hiring/firing/moving around members of his staff? Did he ever fire an OC or DC to save face after a 3-8-type season? Or did he stay "loyal" and give them chances to improve their performance?

He doesn't do anything to "save face"...he does what he thinks is best for the team, regardless of what others think. His record speaks for itself. If you're looking for a parallel of the 1995 Penguins and the 2004 Buckeyes, or an indicator of what he might do later, or after, this season based on what may have happened nine years ago, you're barking up the wrong tree. Oh yeah, last time I checked, we're not 3-8 yet...

Are you asking, does he know how to make the changes necessary to turn things around? I would have to say Yes.

Ex-Youngstown St. coach, 93, dies

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Dom Rosselli, the winningest basketball and baseball coach at Youngstown State, has died. He was 93.
The university says Rosselli died Tuesday morning.
Rosselli totaled 1,000 career wins in the two sports over 38 years. He also served as an assistant football coach for 21 years.
Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel said Rosselli will be missed because he affected so many lives. Tressel coached Youngstown State for 15 years before moving to the Buckeyes.
Rosselli is survived by his wife, Connie, four children and several grandchildren.
