I still remain confused about the bullishness on VT. Every. Single. Year. They get this treatment every year, and win the ACC, but make absolutely no dent in the national scene. The ACC just isn't that good.

some things will certainly shake out very early: Ga at Okie State, Va
tech and 'Bama and OSU and USC.

What is not going to shake out early is the total Big 10, especially if ND goes through Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue in 1,2,3 order. Like it or not, we need Michigan to rebound soon or the ACC champs will be the third dog in the BCS match ups.

How does Navy not even get one vote in the coaches poll after receiving 2 in the preseason poll?

It's not like that the replays of the Navy - tOSU game weren't re-played over and over and over over again...so you know they saw it and the don't get a single friggin vote!?!?!!?

They will beat some teams this year**ahem** notre **ahem** dame *ahem**
