I would not laugh at Ole Miss being at #5. I will agree that might be a little high but I think they will be in the top 10 next year. More laughable is us at #16.

With PSU's losses at WR, offensive line, DE and secondary, it's hard to believe that they're worthy of a #16 ranking. Although, I guess with their typical slate of non-conference dregs, it will be pretty easy for them to win at least 9 games this year.

I can't think of a legitimate reason why, but I think Staples has VaTech way too high. They'll almost certainly win the ACC, but I just can't get excited about that. I really don't think VT could hang with any other team in his preseason top ten. Of course, I've been wrong before (many, many times).

Bama's offense doesn't rely/need a fantastic QB. JPW wasn't what I would consider outstanding. They're about consistency, running and defense.
