When Saban doesn't get a recruit, he in no way acts (or looks) like a spoiled seven-year-old, deprived of his "woobie."

As few may know, yesterday was the first day of spring practice for the Ole Miss Rebels, which was open to the public. It just so happens that somehow Beast/Child 5-Star Hargrave recruit, Bobby Massie was in attendance, on the sidelines with the Rebel proletariat.

Naturally, Bobby was assaulted with fanboy questions. However, one question in particular yielded some interesting bits of tid:

A chance at starting Right Tackle as a Sophomore with the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE"!!! Excuse me while I soil myself. How did Massie ever resist that tricky little leprechaun?

Damn it's a great time to be a college football fan in the South. Especially with Dr. Evil living and working just down I-20/59. Even though Nick closed out with one of the strongest signing days in the nation, apparently the world is not enough to satisfy the Prince of Darkness.

I will not hold my breath for your comments on the day when the facts come out about his recruitment and the "tire distributor" who was involved in his recruitment for Ole Miss...there was another recruit from Hargrave that also signed with OM...Hmmm...could said "tire distributor" be from his hometown? I am sure Saban did say those things but I am also sure it did not go exactly as Massie stated...I am sure he told him he knew what was going on illegally with the "millionaire" in MS but then went into his sales job talking about his program. Like I said, we will see who gets the last laugh in this situation. Enough people, including many who are with other schools other than Bama and OM, know what happened here and no, it is not because Massie did not go to Bama but just the facts on why he went to OM...replacing Oher got Massie's attention but tire profits clinched the deal

Butch, don't worry. Tire Man doesn't win every battle. For instance, he couldn't match the going rate to keep Dwayne Rudd and Deshea Townsend from heading to Tuscaloosa. Apparently Memphis Bama Booster $ is bigger than Batesville Tire $. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. But, look on the bright side. Business seems to be booming over in Gadsden for you guys. They had nothing by positive things to say about Coach Saban and how he was recruited. The deciding factor was the chance to play left tackle...you know, the money spot on the OL.

Btw, I have passed this blog on to some people who are looking into a slander suit. If you didnt already know, the SEC and its schools are starting to crack down on this type of thing.

Georgia has a challenging schedule, which is not new, but if they can gather a little steam before October they could be dangerous. Whether he's made the program significantly better or just significantly different, fans are excited that it's not going to be another year of the same old same old. Last March the fan base was the most apathetic I've seen it in 30-plus years covering the Vols. This March the fans are fired up, and so are the players.

How's the offense going to be better? The quarterbacks have fewer responsibilities. The receivers have fewer reads to make. The guards and tackles are no longer flip-flopping. All three groups seemed confused last season. All three groups appear much more poised and confident about what they're doing this spring.

A: By Sonny Shipp from TigersSportsDigest.com - I think as Jefferson, assuming he is your starter, goes then so will the Tigers. However, while I think he's the key, I think Charles Scott will be just as important. I think the lack of leadership affected last year's team in a big way. The QB play hurt but not having that one person that everyone looks at as the leader to rally the troops was missing. Receiver and defensive end will be two areas to watch.
