Whatever happened to Noel Devine? I guess West Virginia haven't had a "signature" win, but he continues to be one of the most exciting players to watch in college football.

That list makes more sense than I expected, but Tebow is working on a Gino Torretta type of Heisman this year - "he's a winner" - because his team is winning but he's not putting up the numbers he did 2 years ago. This year's UF looks more apt to have some defensive award winners, as they are the rock of that team.

Looks like it is going to come down to whether Alabama or Florida wins the SEC title game, as any good individual award should.

I think the award should take a "bye year." Don't really see anyone truly deserving of it.

If one looks at "lifetime achievement," it should go to Colt McCoy because he's just been so doggone close the past 2 years. But that ain't the criterion.

I thought he should have won it last year, but he doesn't really belong in the top ten based on 2009 only.

I know he's not a serious candidate this year, by RB Ryan Williams of VT is definitely going to be a contender next season. He's only a redshirt freshman but is an absolutely nasty runner, averaging 6.0 yards a carry with 11 touchdowns through 7 games. He's got around 835 yards on the ground and 170 receiving so far, but if you watch him run the ball you'll understand what i mean. He's definitely a special runner and is getting attention in only his first season, but next year he will be an elite RB in the country from the get-go.

VT will be dangerous running the ball with Darren Evans coming back from injury...
