Make it five for us, I forgot about Jackson.

So... what is RR's home state, HTM? Do you disagree that it's florida?I'm not sure if MSU offered Jackson, but if not, that's likely because they had no shot. I'll leave him in until someone clarifies that one.

The Cass Tech pipeline is beating out the Pahokee pipeline right now; besides, I think RR offered about 12-14 MI recruits and fewer than that many FL ones. So, yes.

According to the Scout database: 8 MI offers, 4 verbals 21 FL offers, 6 verbals (and just to beat a dead horse) 20 Dixie offers, 1 verbal (very soft) |

It seems like his base is Florida to me, and if Sparty brings in Gholston, White and one other big name to go with their longer list of "fillers", the propaganda about Sparty focusing/owning Michigan will only grow stronger, even if RR would rather it not be that way. Quote:

Scout.com: Catching Up with Lache Seastrunk
1/19 Writer assumes LSU, Tex, USC, Aub, UF, OU & Mich lead, but admits it's a tossup, and Lache says he has no favorites. |

Caper's Rivals profile shows him as a four-star with an offer from Michigan while being a "solid verbal" to Michigan State (as does Norman's Rivals profile). Guess that makes four in-state four-star UM offers committing to MSU instead of three...

UM generally ends up so-so... usually a big surprise commitment accompanied by a surprise loss (see DWarren/RoJo, Nick Perry/Ricky Barnum & Tay Odoms). This year... yikes. UM is at 20 commitments right now with Pearlie Graves and DeQuinta Jones visiting other schools. (IMO) Looks like UM will finish #2 with just about every major prospect that they are recruiting... I say this class ends up in the #12-15 range. There are some good pieces here (Lewan, Roh, Schofield, Forcier, Campbell, Turner, Lalota), but are any of them ready to make an immediate impact. Obviously, UM needs improved play at the QB position. Can Forcier provide that? Next biggest need is true athletic ability on defense at just about every position... can Campbell, Turner or anyone else provide that? |

Caper had an offer from Carr. That offer was NOT RE-extended when RR took over. |

What was Carr's home state? Going back... UM only took/received a few commitments each year from the state of MI. What's new? 2005, 6 recruits 2006, 4 " 2007, 5 " 2008, 5 " 2009, 5 " It's not like UM always took 10ish MI players a year. Agree that UM is recruiting FL much harder now. |
