Ringer isn't going to be the difference maker in this game...it'll be Hoyer. At least where MSU is concerned. Overall, the big difference maker in this game will be Pryor.

Yup. Good Brian has to show up for MSU to prevail, they could even do so if OSU shuts down Ringer most of the day. Dell & Cunningham have a lot of potential if both ends of the passes hold up (something they do not do consistently)

As a senior at Chaminade-Julienne, Javon Ringer was so sure Ohio State was where he wanted to play college football that he treated other schools like telemarketers.
He'd let recruiting letters pile up in coach Jim Place's office. And when big-time coaches tried to contact him by phone, he'd make himself unavailable.
"I told him one time, '(Southern Cal coach) Pete Carroll wants to talk to you at 2 o'clock,' " Place recalled. "And he said, 'Coach, recruiting is like women. I only date one woman at a time, and I only look at one school at a time.' And he didn't look at anyone else."
Academic issues, though, kept OSU from being able to offer the running back a scholarship. Coach Jim Tressel fought for Ringer ? even going to school President Karen Holbrook on the player's behalf, according to Place ? but was turned down.
The deeply religious Ringer viewed the setback as God's will and turned to Place for advice on what to do next.
"He said, 'Coach, God is acting through you. You tell me where to go,' " said Place, who suggested Michigan State because other C-J athletes were enrolled there.

Every time I hear about Ringer.. I am reminded how badly VG/Biatch wanted us to get this kid in high school... but he wouldn't be this great sharing with Beanie...

Javon will be very motivated this week... because he too wanted OSU...

Ringer (whose first name is pronounced juh-VAHN) believed such perseverance would land him at Ohio State, where he attended summer football camps.

"Growing up in Ohio, that's all you hear about: Ohio State," Ringer said this week.

In part, Ringer said shaky academics kept him from getting to OSU. But he didn't beat himself up over it. "I figured in some way, shape or form, God had a plan for me," he said.

Ringer continually invokes references to God for all that is good in his life and to account for trying times of the past. At the moment, he and his teammates are enjoying a five-game winning streak heading into their Big Ten game Saturday (ABC, 3:30 p.m. ET) against No. 11 Ohio State (6-1, 3-0) in East Lansing. Michigan State (6-1, 3-0) is ranked 17th and already has equaled last season's Big Ten win total.

you are trying to say that we passed on Ringer for some reason other than academics and made up some lame excuse. And said Lame excuse will fuel Ringer's fire this weekend. That's just not the case. Ringer will give 110% because he is agreat player, not because he is playing OSU.

Both parties have moved on...why can't you?

Just for the record.... Ringer's career numbers versus Ohio State: 50 rushes, 192 yards (3.84 average), 0 touchdowns; 7 receptions, 24 yards (3.43 average), 0 touchdowns; 0 wins, 4 losses (although he didn't play in the 2006 game due to injury).

And every year, pre-game statements from him about how he was going to make Ohio State pay for "passing" on him....

The way Little Animal play Javon the first couple of series reminded me of when Sam Huff used to play for the Giants and Jim Brown was with the Browns. Huff would mirror Jim Brown on every down. Most the time it worked but a couple times they use Brown as a decoy and it would leave the middle wide open. It was interesting to watch JL yesterday because that is almost what he was doing and it reminded me so much of the war between Brown and Huff.
