The 0-8 refers to OSU's record against SEC teams in Bowl Games.

That '88 LSU team was the one that played in the famed "Earthquake Game" against Auburn two weeks later.
OSU's comeback vs LSU would've been an Earthquake Game of its own, if 75% of the people at the Horseshoe hadn't already left.

Got'cha.
This statistic makes me wonder even more why the SEC has such a Buckeye mind fetish.

I don't worry too much about criticism because if you're not tough enough to handle criticism, then you better get out of this game, because there's a whole lot of people that have interest in this game. And there's a whole lot of people that don't really have much understanding of what it takes to be good at this game but yet love to have opinions. If you struggle taking criticism, then you need to not be at Ohio State or not be playing the game of football. - Jim Tressel

Just so you know, we have done stuff against the SEC.

Hell - of course you have. You are a premier institution in the national college football landscape. Only an idiot would disagree.
But I just have to respond in some way to the hits on my fellow SEC fans, coaches and institutions a little. You know - that delicate balance of knowing on whose board ( which I enjoy thoroughly, both the posters and the site) I am hanging as a guest, tempered with my feeling's of loyalty to my much better, speedier conference.

Thanks man. Me too with y'all. My response is just a little gig back atcha. Gator hide is thick stuff, so no worries. I'm just sad that we let Auburn take us at our house, or we'd have a small shot at the rematch with you guys in New Orleans...where I can buy the round or two for you guys in my hometown.

You still have a small shot if the Gators win out. If there were ever a year when a two-loss team sneaks in, this would be it. I don't see anyone from #2-10 who is a lock to run the rest of the table, and all of the four we have remaining are team with winning records.
Kansas has AtM, OK St. and Missouri; VT plays at UVA; USF and WVU still have the meat of the Big East; Oklahoma has AtM, OK St. and Texas Tech; BC is going to lose this week in Blacksburg; Oregon's only easy game is Arizona; ASU has to play all of the ranked Pac-10 schools yet; only LSU has an easy ride, and they still have to get by Alabama in Baton Rouge.
IF (big capital "if") UF wins out, beating South Carolina, you would go to the SEC title game potentially ranked in the top 5 against a #2 LSU team. Hammer 'em, and I think you get voted in for your rematch.
Start saving beer money now, just in case.

Nothing here about the Gators (I have four nieces, all UF alums, to contend with) or the SEC, but as a Gator fan what's your take on Spurrier?
The guy's sideline mannerisms make my fillings itch. All I need is one of his whiney outbursts to start rooting for who ever is on the other side. I might even root for Notre Dame if Spurrier were the oppossing coach... well, not if Weis were the other coach, but I'd certainly think about it.
