Steve Spurrier has agreed in principle to become the next coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks should Lou Holtz step down at the end of the season the Tennessean reports. |

Geez, how is that for subtle hints to Coach Holtz.
Maybe Penn State should just go ahead and hire Urban Meyer then give Coach Paterno the old *nudge nudge, wink wink* too. |

wow....this one turned out different than we all thought...Spurrier is taking over a solid program in my opinion, its not really a rebuilding effort, he just needs to make some changes and recruit, recruit, recruit.......he will have them challenging in a few years.
Kinda of feel sorry for Lou........great coach. |

I wonder if Spurrier gets a membership to Augusta National out of the deal? "Hootie" Johnson is a SC grad and influential booster.
