Down goes UM, down goes FSU...Could Boise State crash the party too?
Haven't heard much about this at all, but:
Utah won, finished undefeated, and looks like they will be no worse than 6th. However, Boise State finished undefeated, and was ranked 9th in the BCS going in to this week. 7th and 8th were Michigan and Florida State, who both lost, potentially moving them up to 7th. Sooooo, if Texas A&M beats Texas Thanksgiving weekend.....could we have 2 non-BCS teams finish in the top 6?

Yup, and that would lock Cal out of the Rose.
Even crazier possibility is that OU and AU could both miss BCS bowls (not just the Orange, but Sugar, Fiesta, and Rose) completely.

I think that would by hysterical. Oh what I would give to see OU and AU only lose 1 game each (their respective championship games) and miss the BCS completely to Boise State and Utah.

Each year a new "problem" with the BCS system is exposed, and I expect this year to be no different.
Personally, if they insist on a system, I think last year's system did exactly what it was designed to do - and I don't care if USC fans bitched. The system was created in an effort to take the NC out of the hands of the pollsters. People are bitching cause the BCS didn't match the polls? [censored] them. If there was one tweak I think needed to be made it is this, you don't win your conference, you don't get a shot at the title - call it the Big XII rule (Nebby and OU made the NC game without a conf. title.) Otherwise, last years' BCS system did exactly what it was supposed to do - differentiate between 3 otherwise "tied" teams.
Ultimately, I don't think the BCS is the answer at all, and would prefer a playoff or maybe a +1 system. Whatever playoff scenerio we get, it should be limited. I don't want the regular season to lose it's importance.

I would love to see Boise v. Utah - the Broncos are tough, and I think they would punch the Utes in the mouth (what the heck is a Ute anyway?).

I think Boise and Utah would get rolled by any other BCS team except Boston College, but who knows...I think if they play one another people are going to bitch even more next year about how they weren't given a shot

Every year its the same story, their is always people complaining about the system, it amazes me that these university presidents, tv people and conferences cant meet on common ground and do what they need to do, and thats develop a playoff system with the bowls kept intact.
Its the only way to end the bickering about the BCS.......basketball has a tourney...why not football?
