i dont think the price is that bad.. about what i would expect

i mean most phones are 300 - 400 in the verizon store if you're buying them w/o a plan, right? I would drop the cash because it'd be great to have the gps, email, schedule, and internet access on my phone for work.. but i can do all that through verizon, and the no-insurance is still what really holds me up.. if i break my phone, i'm paying for a brand new one or i'm just paying my service w/o a phone for 2 years.. cant do it.

$100 on a notoriously slow data network?* Weak sauce. I'll stick with my $30 (normally $60) plan on sprint.

Exactly. The other carriers will have something to compete within a few years if not earlier.

I would hazard a guess that the AT&T stores ran out of iphones yesterday since the allotment per location was only 40-60 iphones per location.

I don't know about AT&T stores but at the Apple store at Easton there were plenty. The idiots were the ones who waited in line for this thing. Any time after 6:00 you could have bought one in there no problem.

What is absolutely laughable are the ridiculous "buy It Now' prices on eBay for an iPhone - note this is a link that attempts to screen out the absurd iPhone Domain Name stuff, apparently eBay's search engine doesn't speak grep. That Buy it now price of $50,000 is really what he is asking!
