Firefox troubleshooting

For some reason my Firefox is messed up. Most (if not all) of the extensions do not work. I have cleared my private data and restored the Firefox defaults, but that didn't help. Any suggestions? This is happening on my work AND home (PC/Windows XP) versions.

I keep having a problem with Firefox on my girlfriend's computer. Anytime I start using it, within the first minute, it gives me an error message saying that "Firefox has stopped working". It only does it once and only when I first start using it and then seems to work fine after that.
