Well the wife hit a site (I don't know what) and downloaded some Malware BS that starting giving up fake bluescreens and other stupid errors that weren't really there.
Besides completely changing how everything looked, nothing appears to be affected in any way.
That was, at least, until I rebooted the machine.
Now Windows is saying it needs to be activated (
) but it won't connect to the internet to do it (I have the tag and everything ready to go, but I can't get the damned thing to connect.
It's obvious that the link is good and according to my router, at least, it's seeing activity from the computer.
Any ideas?
I'm re-installing Winblows right now, but I could use some ideas if anyone has any....
BTW system restores won't work. The stupid malware thing wiped them all out.
