Off-brand/"Compatible" Ink Cartridges

I have to purchase new cartridges for my Deskjet 5550, because my cartridges do not refill much at all. Does anyone have advice on whether the "compatible" ink cartridges for 56 and 57 work? The price reduction is enormous, and would be quite advantageous for me.

they will work, but the quality isn't always there, but since you dont print too much it should be fine

I've use remanufactured for both my HP and Epsom without too much problem. I've also had them refilled at Walgreens a couple times without much trouble. well worth the savings.
