Windows 7
Anyone else played with it at all? I downloaded and installed a copy to check it out before the release, it's pretty slick. The task bar takes some getting used to. Seems to be more along the lines of what Vista was supposed to be.

I tried the release candidate for about a week but wound up having to revert back to Vista because the RC didn't support my laptops video, and there were not compatible drivers from the vendor. That was rough week at 800x600 max resolution without Flash. No ESPN videos, 360, highlights, YouTube ...
Vista is perfectly fine for what Windows applications I do need, and it's much faster for my purposes after I nuked Superfetch.

I had the same problem.. went to NVIDIA and downloaded the drivers. The task bar aero thingy didn't work at all until I fixed the drivers.
The only thing I cant install is Dreamweaver, Photoshope, etc. CS4 programs.. I'm downloading CS3's to see if those will install. I'm actually enjoying it.. so far. No blue screen, yet.

Honestly, it's perfect unless you are into gaming, you can find free versions for most programs you would use on a PC on both the basic user level as well as the hign end user and they are all open source, the community is helpful, really, I have a vista partition left soley for gaming.

I've had Vista for nearly a year since I bought my new laptop. I'm perfectly happy with it. Why should I want to change to Windows 7? I've read a couple reviews now and I'm just not convinced that it would be worth it.

The PC and laptop I just bought for home has free Upgrades to 7. I'll have to make sure that I check back here frequently to get your guys' thoughts before I switch from Vista to 7. For all the complaints regarding Vista, both computers have been running seemlessly.
