I am sick and tired of certain talking heads, media writers and radio show hosts who continue to bash Ohio State. I am listening to the Jim Rome show and Skip Bayles gets on the air and says 'I want to say hi to all of my friends at THE Ohio State penetentary....University. Who cares, they are probabaly still celebrating that championship they STOLE in 2002...'

Well...I want you guys to sound off in this thread. Please list media members who are vindictive towards OSU. List the news outlet the person is associated with so that all visitors to this site can boycott those outlets.


Skip Bunghole aside, here is my number 1...

Lance McCalister. Talk show host on Cincy radio station 1360 Homer.

He has bashed the Bucks and OSU fans for years and he has been on a witch hunt against OSU since the ESPiN story broke.

What you are suggesting is understandable but I think if you look through some of the threads, some of the other folks have made a very solid argument for just ignoring guys like this guy.

Radio and other media personalities are doing this because irritating us has increased their audience. Just turn them off and go elsewhere. And encourage other Buckeye fans to do the same.

Know what? When their audience shares start slipping, they'll sing a different tune.

Remember always, in the media business it's about share and a tenth of a point down hurts a lot. Lose share for three or four periods and your job is at risk, even in Cincy!

The comment by Bayless is actually pretty comical when you consider that his alma mater (iowa) had more player arrests since the beginning of the Tressel era than the OSU "Pen". Once again shows though how I might be drinking the kool-aid that there is something going on against my alma mater.

Bayless is a moron plain and simple. He is probably the one guy who I can honestly say I have never agreed with on anything.

Rome, while being funny on occasion is just a plain old ego-maniac. He has an agenda against anyone who will not come on his show. You will notice he will rip guys unmercifully until they come on his show and then he leaves them alone. Tressel has had many requests to come on his show and refuses so Rome's ego gets bruised and he goes after him. If you ever hear him going on about someone endlessly in a negative way you can count on the fact that that person told him to [censored] off I am not coming on your show.

I know a few people in Cinci who worked for media relations for the Reds. Rome's lackeys called in to see if they could get a couple Reds to come on the show. They told them no because they knew he was going to try and stir up [censored] about Griffey Jr. The next day he comes on the show and just started bashing the whole organization. He bashes Jr. all the time because Junior told him to [censored] off I will never come on your show.
