FAQ - 3.1 Members List

Location: You may access the Member List by clicking the "Members List" link (Figure 1, #8) on the black navigation bar found at the top of most BuckeyePlanet pages. This will take you to the following screen (Figure 2 ... it has been cropped for image length)

Description: A complete and sortable list of every registered member at BuckeyePlanet.

Narrowing: You can narrow your search by clicking one of the links labeled, #-A-Z, located directly above the Members List (Figure 2, #1). This option will give you a complete list of all members whose user names begin with the letter you selected.

Members List Title Bar: Located at the top of the Members List (Figure 2, Black area to the left of #3)

Showing Results: This tells you how many members are listed per page, the total amount of members for that particular search or letter, and how long it took (Figure 2, #3).

Search Members: Located to the far right on the Title Bar (Figure 2, #3). This pulldown menu can be used to find a particular member by typing in their user name. You can also type in a partial strand of their name to narrow your search. E.g. Type cra to find members such as: buckcrazy4, craigblitz, crazybuckfan40, or mucram.

Advanced Search: Located as a link inside the Search Members Menu.This allows you to search by a members: User Name, Home Page, Instant Messenger, Post Count, Join Date, and / or their Last Post. Also there are additional options for how you would like your results.

Scarlet Menu Bar: Located directly below the Members List Title Bar (Figure 2, #4).

Sorting Options: There are currently five different ways to sort the Members List. Every click will toggle ascending/descending order for that category (Figure 2, #4-8).

1. User Name - Sorts the Members List alphabetically by members user name.

2. Join Date – Sorts the Member List by the date each member joined BuckeyePlanet.

3. Posts – Sorts the Members List by the amount of posts each member has.

4. Last Visit – Sorts the Members List by the last day a member logged on to BuckeyePlanet.

5. Reputation – Sorts the Members List by the amount of positive or negative reputation each member has.

Non-Sorting Features: Extra features for each member.

Instant Messaging – Picture links to various instant messengers for that member. E.g. AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ.

Find Posts – Click to get a complete list of that member’s posts, starting with the most recent.

Avatar – That members avatar.
